Member of Parliament (MP) Anurag Thakur was recently seen on board a Harley-Davidson bike on the streets of New Delhi. In a recent video shared on his Instagram profile, the BJP Parliamentarian is seen cruising in the national capital for a noble cause. In the video, we see Thakur riding a green-coloured Harley-Davidson Glide along with a group of riders.

Like all other riders in the convoy, Thakur was seen kitted up with proper riding gear. The bike ride was part of an event organised by 93.5 Red FM, a private radio and entertainment network called the Riders Music Festival. The objective of this event is to spread awareness and unite the nation against the menace of drugs and to make India a drug-free state.
Leading up to the main event, the organizers facilitated a series of weekend Breakfast Rides. These rides brought together diverse biker groups from 32 cities across India. We believe this video was filmed during one of these rides, specifically in Delhi. The main event will be held across Delhi, Kanpur, Siliguri, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur on February 8 and 9.
This isn’t the first instance when Anurag Thakur has taken part in such bike rides. In the past as well, he has been part of several bike rallies organised for a cause. Thakur is currently a Member of Lok Sabha from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.

Speaking of the motorcycle, the former Union Minister of Sports was seen riding a Harley-Davidson Street Glide that weighs a massive 369 kg and costs a whopping Rs 38.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The cruiser is powered by a 1923cc V-twin engine which develops a power of 107.2 bhp and a peak torque of 175 Nm. This motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Street Glide is also a very equipped motorcycle. It is laced with a Boom Box GTS infotainment system with four speakers. The full-colour 12.3-inch TFT instrument panel is Bluetooth compatible offering call and music access along with navigation and voice recognition. It also offers several electronic rider aids like three ride modes: Road, Sport, and Rain; cornering ABS, traction control, vehicle hold control and tyre pressure monitoring system.
