The new-gen Hero Xpulse finally broke cover at the ongoing EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. In its latest avatar the Xpulse gains some significant upgrades over the existing model. Over the past decade, the Xpulse has received numerous small updates, the biggest and the most significant of those was the introduction of a 4-valve setup in the engine for better power and torque in 2022.
However, it still wasn’t enough for people who ventured into rallies and motorsports. So after some intense training sessions for the Dakar Rally, Hero MotoCorp seeked feedback from its team of riders which has resulted in this new Xpulse. Let us check out what all the new Xpulse has to offer.
Hero Xpulse 210: Design
Visually, the new Xpulse 210 doesn’t sway away from the design of its predecessor since the dirt bike appeal of the current model is highly appreciated by its buyers, especially those who venture into adventure riding very often. You get a round LED headlamp with a large windscreen on top of it and a traditional beak up front. The fuel tank shape remains largely unchanged from the previous model, retaining its muscular profile.

Other visual highlights like the extended shrouds, side panels, single-piece seat, a pillion grab rail integrated with a luggage rack, fork gaiters, hand guards, an upswept exhaust, and wire spoked wheels are carried forward from the current model. The golden finish of the engine casing adds a touch of premium appeal to the overall look.
Hero Xpulse 210: Specs & features
The biggest update on the Xpulse is definitely the new 210cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine borrowed from the Karizma XMR. In the Xpulse it is slightly detuned to produce 24.5 bhp and 20.4 Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch.
Underpinning the Xpulse 210 is a new trellis frame that sits on adjustable upside down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear with a travel of 210mm and 205mm, respectively. Braking duties will be carried out by disc brakes at both ends with a switchable dual-channel ABS as standard. The new Xpulse continues to offer a towering ground clearance of 210mm. The adventure bike rolls on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in tubed block pattern tyres.
In terms of features, the Xpulse 210 comes with a 4.2-inch TFT display that offers Bluetooth connectivity, switchable ABS modes, and LED lighting. In addition, Hero will be offering an optional rally kit for hardcore off-road activities.
