Hero MotoCorp launched another electric scooter under the Vida brand yesterday. Called the Vida VX2, it is available in two variants VX2 Go and VX2 Plus. At the same time, TVS added another variant of the iQube range with the base trim now available with a 3.1 kWh battery. Let us find out how these two scooters fare against each other.
Hero Vida VX2 Plus Vs TVS iQube 3.1: Battery & Motor specs
The Vida VX2 Plus is powered by a 3.4 kWh battery with a claimed IDC range of 142 km. Hero hasn’t yet revealed exact specifications for the electric motor but it offers a top speed of 80 kmph and can reach 40 kmph from a standstill in 3.1 seconds. Hero is also offering an AC fast charging option that rejuvenates the battery from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes.

Using the included 580W charger, the VX2 Plus variant requires 5 hours and 39 minutes. Moreover, it also supports fast charging, enabling a 0–80% charge in just 1 hour and a full 0–100% charge in 2 hours using a compatible fast charger.

Despite the larger battery, its charging time remains similar to the 2.2 kWh variant, taking approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. Notably, this variant shares the same top speed of 82 kmph as the top-spec iQube ST.

The Vida VX2 is well-equipped in the features department, offering full LED lighting, GPS tracking, remote immobilization, and a 4.3-inch fully-digital colour TFT instrument cluster. It also boasts a spacious 33.2-litre under-seat storage compartment, claimed to fit a full-size helmet, along with a rear pillion backrest, stylish 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front disc brakes, and several other convenience and safety features.

TVS offers a decent set of features for the iQube 3.1 as well. This includes a 32-litre underseat storage, a 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging ports, and a pillion backrest. Unlike Vida which comes with removable batteries, the iQube 3.1 comes with a fixed battery pack.

The Hero Vida VX2 Plus is priced at Rs 1,09, 990 whereas the new TVS iQube with a 3.1 kWh battery is also priced at a similar Rs 1.05 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi). The Vida VX2 is also available with a battery subscription model in which the scooter is priced at Rs 64,990 whereas the battery can be rented at Rs 0.96 per km.
