Hero MotoCorp has reintroduced the Vida V1 Plus with a lower price tag. The electric scooter is now available at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it Rs 30,000 more affordable than the top-spec V1 Pro. However, effective prices can drop to below Rs 1 lakh on applying FAME II subsidy, state EV subsidy, and dealer discount.

Hero Vida V1 Plus price drop

In Delhi NCR, the Vida V1 Plus can be had at prices as low as Rs 97,800. This makes it a very tempting option against rivals Ather 450S, Ola S1 Air, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, and  Simple Dot One.

Both Vida V1 Plus and V1 Pro use the same 3.9 kW electric motor generating a peak output of 6 kW. While the former gets a 3.94 kWh battery pack which offers a range of 110 km, the latter comes with a 3.44 kWh battery, offering 100 km of range. As for performance, the Vida V1 Plus can clock a top speed of 80 kmph and can accelerate 0 to 40 kmph in 3.4 seconds. The V1 Pro is 0.2 second quicker than its base.

Even the equipment onboard the V1 Plus and V1 Pro are identical, comprising features like fully-digital instrument cluster, LED lighting, multiple ride mode, and smartphone connectivity. They also boast of connected features such as vehicle diagnostics, live tracking, geo fencing, etc.  Both scooters can be used as a conventional two-seater scooter or a single-seater model.
