Hero MotoCorp has ramped up its presence in international markets in recent years and its participation at EICMA has helped its cause. The largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country recently shared a teaser where it announced that as many as four new models from its portfolio will be revealed at the annual motorcycle exhibition event in Milan, Italy.

We already know that Hero will unveil a new adventure tourer as revealed on its social media handles a few days ago, which will most probably be the new Xpulse 210. Besides, new patents of upcoming motorcycles from the bikemaker have also come to light. Recently, a patent image of a fully-faired motorcycle made headlines. It is speculated to be the next model in the Karizma range.

Now another patent image of a new Hero bike has broken the internet. A patent image of a new naked streetfighter has been patented by the two-wheeler manufacturer. This suggests a new addition in the Xtreme lineup. Currently, Hero has four models with the Xtreme badge– Xtreme 125R, Xtreme 160R, Xtreme 160R 4V, and Xtreme 200S 4V.

The image in the patent application looks very familiar to the 2.5R Xtunt concept bike showcased at World Hero Day at the start of 2024. From the outset, the bike looks very aggressive with a sharp face featuring triangular bi-projector headlamp setup nestled inside a modern looking bezel. A muscular fuel tank with extended tank shrouds makes it very contemporary.

Other notable visual highlights include a split-seat setup with a raised pillion seat, a floating tail section, an upswept exhaust, a rear tyre hugger, split pillion grab rails, spoke alloy wheels, and an exposed trellis frame. On a closer glance, we see the emission tailpipe and the catalytic converter positioned underneath the sump guard at the centre which suggests the bike could get a twin-exhaust setup.

In terms of features, we can see a small rectangular instrument panel which is expected to be the same unit as the Mavrick 440. Other probable features include LED headlights, taillights and turn indicators, ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, and turn-by-turn navigation. As for hardware specs, we can notice upside down front forks and a rear mono-shock in place. Braking duties will be carried out by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS likely to be standard offering.

We are yet to decipher the exact specifications of this engine but given the massive cooler masked under the tank shrouds, it is definitely a liquid-cooled motor. Like the fully-faired bike patents leaked earlier, this bike is also expected to be powered by a new 250cc liquid-cooled engine. This motor is likely to be paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The new powertrain could generate around 30 horses and 25 Nm of peak torque.
