Hero MotoCorp launched the Glamour X earlier this week which is touted as the most feature-packed 125cc motorcycle in India. It sits on top of Glamour Xtec and even though both models share the same moniker, they are very different from each other. Here’s a detailed rundown of all the key differences between Glamour X and Glamour Xtec.
Hero Glamour X vs Glamour Xtec: Styling
Starting with the looks, the Glamour X is a more stylised version with plenty of small changes. For instance, it gets a revised LED headlamp and taillamp cluster with an H-shaped LED element. The Glamour X looks sharper thanks to revised tank shrouds which give the impression of an ‘X’. The Glamour X gets a single-piece grab rail and a larger blacked-out windscreen.
On the other hand, the Glamour X looks a bit more subdued with cleaner lines, a smaller conventional windscreen, and split pillion grab rails. Overall, the Glamour X looks edgier than the Glamour Xtec.
Hero Glamour X vs Glamour Xtec: Features
The Glamour X is definitely richer than the Glamour Xtec when it comes to features. The former comes with conveniences such as LCD screen with Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, panic brake alerts, and a segment-first ride-by-wire throttle, which enables three riding modes – Power, Road and Eco.

However, the biggest feature highlight is the addition of a cruise control, a first-in-segment feature. It should be noted that premium features, including cruise control, panic brake alert, and the LED tail-lamp and indicators, are exclusive to the disc variant of the Glamour X.
On the contrary, the Glamour Xtec gets a more basic digital instrument cluster which offers Bluetooth connectivity with call and SMS alerts but misses out on turn-by-turn navigation. A USB charging port is common to both bikes.
Hero Glamour X vs Glamour Xtec: Hardware & Dimensions
Mechanically, both motorcycles remain unchanged, sharing the same underpinnings with a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Hero has not disclosed the braking setup for the Glamour X, but it is expected to mirror the standard model, offering either a 240 mm front disc or a 130 mm front drum, paired with a 130 mm rear drum.
Similar to the regular Glamour, the Glamour X will not be equipped with ABS. Both bikes also roll on identical 18-inch alloy wheels. Hero Glamour X has a seat height of 790mm and a ground clearance of 170mm, while the Glamour XTEC sits a little higher with a 798mm seat height and 180mm ground clearance.
Hero Glamour X vs Glamour Xtec: Powertrain
Powering both the Glamours is the same 124.7cc oil-cooled engine. However, engine output for both bikes are different. The Glamour Xtec pushes out 10.68 bhp and 10.4 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Glamour X develops a slightly higher output of 11.40 bhp and a peak torque of 10.5 Nm. Transmission duties on both bikes are carried out by a 5-speed gearbox.
Hero Glamour X vs Glamour Xtec: Price
Hero Glamour X is priced at Rs 90,000 for the ‘Drum’ variant and Rs 1 lakh for the ‘Disc’ variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). In comparison, the XTEC range is positioned differently, with the ‘Drum’ variant costing slightly more at ₹90,500, while the ‘Disc’ variant is priced lower at Rs 95,000, making it notably more affordable than the Glamour X ‘Disc’.
