Festival discount: Bajaj Chetak Specs
The Chetak has a battery capacity of 2.9 kWh and charges from 0 to 100 per cent in 5 hours. The Bajaj electric scooter offers a range of 108 km and has a top speed of 63 kmph. The Chetak has a peak power of 4.08 kW and a continuous output of 3.8 kW with a torque of 16Nm. It is available in two ride modes — Eco and Sport.
There are reports stating that Bajaj is also working on an entry-level electric scooter and the company might bring back the Sunny nameplate. The Sunny originally made its debut in the 1990s as a two-stroke affordable scooter. Bajaj hasn’t revealed the battery specifications of the new affordable electric scooter but it is going to be smaller than the Chetak’s. There is no confirmation on the timeline of the new scooter but it could take a couple of years before the product sees the light of day.
