Bajaj Auto is currently in the process of revamping its Pulsar range of motorcycles. Recently, the Chakan-based bikemaker launched the current flagship Pulsar– the N250– with a bunch of updates. However, the N250 won’t sit on top of the Pulsar lineup, as Bajaj is gearing up to launch an all-new 400cc Pulsar soon.

Most likely to be called Pulsar NS400, the upcoming flagship naked street fighter is slated to make its maiden appearance later this week on May 3. Ahead of its unveiling, an image of the upcoming naked streetfighter has gone viral on the internet. The latest spy shots are most probably clicked at the company shop floor before rolling out of the assembly line.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400 details leaked

The images provide a clear visual of the upcoming bike’s design which isn’t like any Pulsar launched yet. Starting with the front, the face of the new 400cc Pulsar looks radical and something which is bound to leave opinions polarised. A single-pod projector headlamp is flanked by lightning-shaped LED DRL on each side. The cluster itself is encased within an elaborate arrangement.

As expected from a Pulsar, the fuel tank is muscular with extended shrouds. The rear feels familiar to the recent set of Pulsars with a floating tail section, split grab rails, split seats, a tyre hugger, and twin LED taillamps. The unit seen in the latest spy shot is wearing a red colour scheme. Other visual highlights include black alloy wheels and golden-coloured USD forks.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400: Expected features

Although Bajaj is yet to officially disclose features on offer in the upcoming 400cc Pulsar, we can more or less presume the expected equipment. It will receive a fully-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity via Bajaj Ride Connect app, turn-by-turn navigation, call and text alerts, and a USB charging port.

In terms of hardware, suspension duties are likely to be carried out by 43mm upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock.. Braking hardware includes disc brakes at both ends aided by dual-channel ABS. The bike rolls on 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels which are shod with fat tyres.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400: Expected powertrain

The biggest highlight for the upcoming 400cc Pulsar will be the engine. It is assumed that Bajaj will employ the 373.3cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that does duties on Dominar 400 and the older-gen KTM 390 range. It is likely to deliver the same output as Dominar 400, i.e., 40 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. This motor will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch.
