2025 Yamaha Fascino, RayZR: Updated powertrain
As mentioned earlier, both scooters come with a revised hybrid powertrain featuring the ‘Enhanced Power Assist’ function which Yamaha says is a “smarter, performance-driven system built on Yamaha’s true hybrid technology.” Powered by the same 125cc, fuel-injected, Blue Core Hybrid engine, this unit is now paired with a powerful and a high-performance battery.

As a result, this setup delivers sustained high torque, resulting in stronger acceleration and improved performance which helps when starting from standstill, carrying loads, or climbing inclines. The battery is complemented by the Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology that offer Silent Start, and Stop & Start System (SSS), thus saving on precious fuel.
Yamaha claims to offer class-leading fuel efficiency with these two 125cc scooters, although actual figures haven’t been revealed. There’s no mention of any change in output. The engine delivers 8.04 bhp and 10.3Nm of peak torque, paired with a CVT automatic.
