The Yamaha XSR 155 has been a popular topic amongst enthusiasts, owing to its retro design and the potent liquid-cooled engine that make it desirable. Now, as per reports, Yamaha is likely to showcase the XSR 155 at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo scheduled to take place between January 17–22. Here are more details on the motorcycle.
Yamaha XSR 155 — Design and features
The Yamaha XSR 155 is based on the same platform as the Yamaha MT-15 platform but takes a retro design language instead of the aggressive street naked design of the MT-15. The motorcycle features a round headlight, a flat seat, a chunky side-mounted exhaust, and an exposed engine, giving it an old-school look.
The motorcycle is suspended by USD forks up front, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes at both ends and LED lighting. The hardware and features on the motorcycle are simple yet modern, raising its desirability amongst two-wheeler enthusiasts.
Yamaha XSR 155 — Engine specifications and competition
The Yamaha XSR 155 is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is small but capable enough to keep new riders excited and experienced riders entertained. If Yamaha does showcase the motorcycle at the Bharat Mobility Expo, it would be a great platform to gauge the interest of potential customers and will take on the TVS Ronin in the Indian market.
