Hero MotoCorp has launched the new Super Splendor with i3s technology at a price of Rs 55,275 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The commuter motorcycle is now equipped with the i3s technology and also gets the AHO Automatic Headlamp ON (AHO) for enhanced safety. The i3s technology has been developed by Hero MotoCorp and this system switches of the engine automatically when the engine is idle and then to restart you have to press the clutch. This system helps improve the mileage and reduces the fuel consumptions. Fuel tank capacity of the motorcycle is rated at 13 litres.

The new Hero Super Splendor i3s is powered by a 124.7cc air cooled engine that delivers 9hp of power and 10.35Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and the engine doesn’t yet comply with the upcoming BS4 emission norms. Braking duty is carried out by 130mm drum brakes at front and rear. The suspension comprises of telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rectangular swing arm with 5 step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at rear.

The 2017 Hero Honda Super Splendor gets an i3s sticker at the rear side panels. The dimensions of the motorcycle are 1,995mm in length, 735mm in width, 1,095mm in height and 1,265mm in wheelbase. The kerb weight of the motorcycle is 121kg and is available in five colours- Black with Electric Purple, Candy Blazing Red, Graphite Black, Vibrant Blue and Black with Fiery Red. The 2017 Hero Honda Super Splendor is offered in self start drum brake alloy wheel variant.
