The home-grown motorcycle giant aims to sell three to four times more units of the new Bajaj Avenger Range in India.
Bajaj Auto, the home-grown motorcycle giant, on Tuesday launched the new range of Avenger in the country. Available in three models – Street 150, Street 220 and Cruise 220, the new Bajaj Avenger range is priced between Rs 70,000 – Rs 84,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

While the new Bajaj Avenger Street 220 and Cruise 220 feature the same 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled DTS-i engine that did duty on the old Avenger, the Avenger 150cc derives its power from a slightly tuned version of the old Pulsar 150. The 220 DTS-i unit churns out 19bhp and 17.5Nm, and the 2015 Bajaj Avenger 150’s engine produces 14.5bhp and 12.5Nm.

The Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 looks largely similar to the current model though with heavier chrome elements and a new exhaust. It also gets a new radiator, redesigned side grabs and a new handlebar. The new Bajaj Avenger Street 220, on other other hand, gets all-black treatment. It comes in matte black colour with silver finish. The Street 150 comes in midnight blue. The company says that the New Bajaj Avenger Street models also get a new, flatter and lower handlebar for better city riding.
In addition to the above-mentioned features, the new Bajaj Avenger range gets an all-new insignia, improved rear suspension, new graphics and styling elements, bright white light headlights, low slung seats with new fabric and clear lens indicators.
