This win means that KKR remain alive for playoff race. But it would still be a gigantic task considering that they couldn’t improve their NRR in today’s match.

Chennai Super Kings, which won the toss and opted to bat first, lost half of its side under paltry 75 runs on the board. Sunil Narine got rid of Ambati Rayudu and Moeen Ali in the same over. Before that, Varun Chakravarthy sent back Ruturaj Gaikwad during the powerplay. Be it Suyash or Shardul, KKR is kept it tight. The superb bowling by Thakur (3-0-15-1) and Chakravarthy (4-0-36-2) shows how successful KKR bowlers have been today. 144 is a sub-par total for CSK. But it is something that they can defend.
