HDFC Bank has announced some changes to its loyalty program for specific credit cards, effective from today. Affected customers have been notified via email about these changes.
HDFC Bank Key Changes to Reward Points:
Apple Products: Redemption of reward points for Apple products on the SmartBuy platform will be limited to one product per calendar quarter for Infinia and Infinia Metal cardholders.
Tanishq Vouchers: Starting October 1, 2024, the redemption of reward points for Tanishq vouchers will be capped at 50,000 points per calendar quarter for the same cardholders.

Additional Updates:
Effective September 1, 2024:
Utility Transactions: Reward points earned from utility transactions will be capped at 2,000 points per calendar month.
Telecom & Cable Transactions: Similarly, reward points from telecom and cable transactions will also be capped at 2,000 points per month.
Important Notes:
-For certain cards like Millennia, UPI, and Paytm, existing capping rules will remain in place.
-Education payments through third-party apps will not earn reward points, but payments made directly through educational institutions will.
-Easy EMI transactions will not earn reward points for MoneyBack+ and Freedom cards.
-For Regalia First and Business Regalia First cards, every Rs 150 spent will earn 3 reward points on eligible transactions.
HDFC Bank Infinia Metal Edition Details:
Membership Fee: Rs 12,500 + applicable taxes, with 12,500 reward points awarded upon activation. Spend ₹10 lakh or more in the previous year to have the renewal fee waived.
Eligibility: Membership is by invitation only.
HDFC Bank Credit Card Airport Lounge Access:
Cardholders enjoy unlimited complimentary access to over 1,000 airport lounges globally via Priority Pass, which is also available for add-on cardholders.
