The 30-share BSE index Sensex jumped 102.97 points or 0.38 per cent to 27,035.85 and the 50-share NSE index Nifty gained 24.50 points or 0.30 per cent to 8,177.40.

Later, the scrip closed 0.08 per cent down at Rs 366.90.
Jubilant Life Sciences: Shares of the company gained as much as 3.5 per cent intraday on Wednesday after the company informed BSE that it has received approval from the US health regulator to market Indomethacin capsule used for treating pains.Later, the share price of the company closed 0.73 per cent up at Rs 399.55.
Bajaj Corp: The FMCG company’s shares closed 4.50 per cent down after the company reported 24.95 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 46.77 crore for the second quarter ended September 2015, helped by lower expenses.
Redington (India): Scrip of the company closed the day at Rs 118.60, up 3.45 per cent after the company informed the BSE that its subsidiary, Redington Gulf FZE, would acquire a majority stake in Istanbul-based Oracle distributor Linkplus Bilgisayar Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret, A S Turkey.
HMT: Shares of engineering firm on Wednesday surged 19 per cent after the company signed a pact with a German firm Fraunhofer for technology upgradation. The share price of the company closed 19 per cent up at Rs 59.50.
Punj Lloyd: Shares of Punj Lloyd gained over 5 per cent today after the company said it has won Rs 488 crore worth projects in the power sector. The company’s scrip went up 5.37 per cent to settle at Rs 26.50 on BSE.
