Pune Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results Highlights: The counting of votes has come to an end in the closely-watched Pune Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra where Murlidhar Mohol of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Ravindra Dhangekar of the Indian National Congress were locked in a direct fight. According to the ECI data, BJP’s Mohol has won by 1,23,038 votes defeating Dhangekar. Mohol bagged 5,84,728 votes and Dhangekar got 4,61,690 votes.
Mohol, the former Pune Mayor, was fielded by the BJP after the death of its sitting MP Girish Bapat. The Congress, on the other hand, has pitted legislator Dhangekar who defeated the BJP in the Kasba assembly by-poll last year. The counting of votes is scheduled to begin at 8 AM.

Amid the heated election battle in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, the counting of votes has commenced at the counting centres across Pune amid tight security.
Pune Lok Sabha constituency is an urban constituency comprising Marathas, Brahmins, Scheduled Castes, and Muslims. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Girish Bhalchandra Bapat of the BJP emerged victorious, securing 632,835 votes. Mohan Joshi of the Congress party secured 308,207 votes. The total votes cast in the Girish Bhalchandra Bapat constituency amounted to 1,035,654.
