Niwas Constituency Election Result 2023: The vote count is over in the Niwas constituency for the Madhya Pradesh Election 2023, following voting conducted on November 17. Congress’ Chainsingh Warkade has won by a margin of 9723 against BJP’s Faggan Singh Kulaste in Niwas constituency.
Once again, this seat will witness a two-party tussle involving the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
With Congress aiming to solidify its hold on the seat, the saffron party eyes to regain power by fielding Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste, replacing his brother Rampyare Kulaste, against Congress’ Chain Singh Warkade. BJP aims to reclaim the seats they held in 2003, 2008, and 2013 but lost to the Congress candidate Ashok Marskole in 2018.
The Niwas state assembly/Vidhan Sabha seat is in the Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, making it a crucial Assembly constituency within the Mahakoshal region, falling within the Mandla (ST) Lok Sabha constituency. This seat is predominantly tribal, and tribal votes significantly influence the party dynamics here.
