Rau Assembly Election Result 2023 Live: The counting of votes for the Rau seat is underway. Madhu Verma (BJP), Jitu Patwari (INC) are key candidates contesting from Rau constituency in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. BJP’s Madhu Verma has won by a margin of 35522 in MP’s Rau constituency. Meanwhile, Congress’ Jitu Patwari has been defeated.
The Rau assembly constituency falls under the Indore Lok sabha constituency. In the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the total percentage of voters in Rau Assembly Constituency was recorded at 75.94 percent.
According to the Madhya Pradesh Election Commission, the total number of votes in the state is 5,61,36,229, including 75,304 service voters. 2,88,25,607 are male voters, 2,72,33,945 are female voters and the third gender voters are 1373. The region is mostly inhabited by the OBC community and includes people from various castes like Khatis, Patidars, Maharashtrians, and Sindhis. The literacy rate in the area is around 90 percent.
The Rau constituency was initially led by a representative from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jeetu Jirati, for five years. Since the last 10 years, the area has been represented by a Congress legislator, Jitu Patwari. In 2018, Patwari of the Indian National Congress won the seat by defeating Madhu Verma of the Bharatiya Janata Party with a margin of 5703 votes.

Amid the heated election battle in the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections, the counting of votes has commenced.
Ahead of the MP Assembly Election Results 2023, State Minister and BJP leader Narottam Mishra says that BJP will win 125-150 seats in the state. “BJP will form govt in the state. It is a matter of a few hours now,” he said.
