Maharashtra Election Result 2024 Highlights: BJP-led Mahayuti retains power, MVA bites dust

From the Bandra east constituency, Varun Sardesai of the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction is leading by over 662 votes. NCP’s Zeeshan Siddique is trailing, as per latest ECI trends.

The BJP is leading in 109 seats, as per ECI trends. Shiv Sena in 56 and NCP in 34 seats, as per ECI trends.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis is leading by 2,246 votes from the Nagpur South-West constituency after the first round of counting, polling officials reported.

The latest trends by ECI in the Maharashtra Assembly elections has showed the following leads for Shiv Sena (UBT) across key constituencies:

Balapur: Nitin Bhikanrao Deshmukh is leading with 5,089 votes, holding a margin of 1,217 votes.

Daryapur: Gajanan Motiram Lawate leads with 2,972 votes, maintaining a slim margin of 105 votes.

Wani: Derkar Sanjay Nilkanthrao is ahead with 3,683 votes and a margin of 1,000 votes.

Gangakhed: Kadam Vishal Vijaykumar leads with 5,264 votes, holding a margin of 1,777 votes.

Sillod: Bankar Suresh Pandurang is leading with 4,263 votes, ahead by 889 votes.

Palghar: Jayendra Kisan Dubla has secured 5,553 votes with a strong margin of 3,008 votes.

Vikhroli: Sunil Rajaram Raut leads with 7,997 votes and a margin of 2,160 votes.

Bhandup West: Ramesh Gajanan Korgaonkar is ahead with 5,160 votes and a margin of 2,264 votes.

Versova: Haroon Khan is narrowly leading with 3,131 votes, ahead by just 75 votes.

Vandre East: Varun Satish Sardesai is leading with 2,791 votes and a margin of 662 votes.

Mahim: Mahesh Baliram Sawant holds a lead with 2,270 votes, a margin of 114 votes.

Worli: Aditya Uddhav Thackeray is leading with 4,231 votes, ahead by 495 votes.

Shivadi: Ajay Vinayak Choudhari has secured 3,628 votes, leading by 356 votes.

Khed Alandi: Babaji Ramchandra Kale leads with 5,459 votes and a margin of 1,972 votes.

Umarga: Pravin Virbhadrayya Swami leads with 14,030 votes, maintaining a margin of 2,215 votes.

Osmanabad: Kailas Balasaheb Ghadge Patil is ahead with 12,080 votes and a margin of 668 votes.

Guhagar: Jadhav Bhaskar Bhaurao is leading with 13,462 votes, holding a commanding margin of 6,610 votes.

Shahuwadi: Satyajit Babasaheb Patil Sarudkar is ahead with 8,574 votes, leading by 472 votes.

These initial trends reflect a closely contested election across constituencies.

Zeeshan Siddique, son of late NCP leader Baba Siddique, is trailing in the Vandre (Bandra) East constituency, a seat he won five years ago. Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Varun Sardesai is currently leading by a narrow margin, securing 2,791 votes compared to Siddique’s 2,129.

BJP candidate Mangal Prabhat Lodha is leading by over 3,000 votes from the prestigious Malabar Hill constituency. His nearest rival Bherulal Choudhary Shiv Sena (UBT) is trailing. Lodha is one of the richest candidates in contesting in this polls.

As per ECI trends, BJP is leading in 50 seats, while Shiv Sena in 27 seats and NCP in 22 seats.

As per early trends, the Mahayuti alliance has crossed the halfway mark in Maharashtra. While the Mahayuti is leading in 159 seats, MVA leading in 96. The magic figure in the 288-member Assembly is 145.

From Charkop Assembly seat, BJP candidate Yogesh Sagar is leading by over 3,000 votes, while Yashwant Jayprakash Singh of the Congress.

As per early trends, Maharashtra BJP chief Bawankule is leading from the Kamthi seat. Counting of votes in Maharashtra is underway.
