Lok Sabha Election 2024 Full Schedule Live Updates: The Election Commission of India announced the schedule for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections at a crucial briefing at Vigyan Bhawan on Saturday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar along with his deputies addressed the media. Previously, in a statement posted on X, the poll authority confirmed that the dates for both the general elections and certain state assembly elections will be disclosed on Saturday afternoon. The ruling NDA government, spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims for an unprecedented third term, while the opposition, aligned loosely under the INDIA bloc, aspires to make significant inroads into the NDA’s electoral performance. In case Modi returns to power for the third term, he will equal the record of former PM Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) has come into force across in India. The results of the Lok Sabha elections are projected to be revealed in the final week of June.
