The Tata Institute of Social Sciences Teachers Association (TISSTA) has publicly criticized the institute’s administration, accusing it of misrepresenting the current crisis regarding the non-renewal of contracts for 55 teaching and 60 non-teaching staff members.
In a statement released on July 10, TISS asserted that some faculty members and students were taking advantage of the institute’s transition from Tata governance to full Central government management to spread misinformation and discord.
Japan’s Softbank investment division Softbank Vision Fund left Paytm in the June quarter at a loss of almost $150 million, PTI reported. “Softbank has exited Paytm at a loss of 10-12 per cent. The total loss is around USD 150 million,” one of the sources said.

The government is poised to launch the ‘Agri Fund for Startups and Rural Enterprises’ (AgriSURE) to support agripreneurs. Three gangsters, including two suspected shooters involved in a recent murder at West Delhi Burger King, were killed on Friday in a combined operation by Haryana Police and the Delhi Crime Branch in Sonipat.
