Haryana Nagar Nigam Election Results 2025 Highlights: The Haryana Municipal Election Results 2025 are being announced as the counting of votes continues. The Nagar Nigam Chunav was conducted on March 2, 2025, with a 41% voter turnout across all municipal bodies. However, Panipat held its mayoral elections separately on March 9. These elections were held to elect Mayors, Presidents, and ward members for Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils, and Municipal Committees across Haryana.
So far, results for nine mayoral seats have been declared. The BJP has secured victories in eight of them, while one seat has been won by an independent candidate. In Gurugram, Raj Rani won for the BJP, while Dr. Inderjit Yadav, an independent candidate, secured victory in Manesar. Faridabad elected Parveen Joshi (BJP), Hisar chose Praveen Popli (BJP), and Rohtak saw Ram Avtar Valmiki (BJP) emerging victorious. Similarly, Renu Bala (BJP) won in Karnal, Shailja Sachdeva (BJP) in Ambala, Rajiv Jain (BJP) in Sonipat, and Komal Saini (BJP) in Panipat.
With the BJP securing eight out of the nine declared mayoral positions, the party has made a strong mark in Haryana’s urban local body elections. Final results from other municipal corporations are still awaited.

BJP candidate Raj Rani is leading the Gurgaon mayoral elections with 2,15,754 votes after 8 out of 13 rounds of counting. Congress candidate Seema Pahuja trails behind with 65,764 votes, while 12,441 voters have opted for NOTA.

Haryana Municipal Election Result 2025 Live: BJP’s Ram Avtar Leads in Mayoral Race with Over 42,000 Vote Margin
BJP candidate Ram Avtar is leading Rohtak mayoral race with 87,577 votes after 11 out of 13 rounds of counting. His closest competitor, Congress candidate Surajmal Kiloi, has secured 45,568 votes. INLD’s Suraj is far behind with 2,769 votes, followed by AAP’s Amit Khatak with 2,610 votes. Independent candidate Deepak Singh has received 1,884 votes, while 1,652 voters have opted for NOTA.
In Faridabad for Mayor/President, BJP’s Praveen Joshi is leading with 2,77,566 votes after seven rounds of counting. Congress candidate Lata Rani is trailing with 70,949 votes, while AAP’s Nisha Dalal Faujdar has secured 18,718 votes. BSP’s Mansa Paswan has received 17,975 votes. Among independent candidates, Sangeeta Yadav has garnered 8,258 votes, and Anjana Sharma has secured 6,153 votes. Additionally, 6,607 voters have opted for NOTA. The counting process is still underway, with the latest update recorded at 11:20 AM.
In the ongoing vote count, BJP candidate Raj Rani, daughter of Tilak Raj, is leading in Gurgaon with 1,64,951 votes after six rounds of counting out of a total of 13. Seema Pahuja from the Congress, wife of Pawan Pahuja, is trailing behind with 50,082 votes. Meanwhile, the NOTA (None of the Above) option has received 9,390 votes so far. Manesar elects its first Mayor as Independent candidate Dr. Inderjit Yadav wins by 2,293 votes. Dr. Yadav secured 26,393 votes, defeating BJP’s Sunder Lal, who garnered 24,100 votes.
The BJP is leading in nine out of ten municipal corporations across the state, while Congress is trailing in all ten.
In Manesar, Independent candidate Inderjeet Yadav defeated BJP’s Sunder Lal. In Sonipat, BJP’s Rajiv Jain, a former media advisor to the Chief Minister, is leading against Kamal Deewan. Additionally, BJP has secured the chairman post in Julana, a constituency considered the stronghold of Congress MLA and wrestler Vinesh Phogat.
