Guna Lok Sabha Election 2024 Result Highlights: Jyotiraditya Scindia, the scion of Gwalior’s erstwhile royal family who ended his 18-year association with the Congress in 2020 to join the BJP, defeated Congress’ Rao Yadvendra Singh by 540,929 votes in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna parliamentary constituency.
This marks the first time in his political career that the 53-year-old Scindia contested as a BJP candidate from Guna, a seat previously represented by his late father, Madhavrao Scindia, and his late grandmother, Vijayaraje Scindia.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP‘s Krishna Pal Singh Yadav secured a decisive victory in the Guna constituency by a margin of approximately 125,000 votes.
Jyotiraditya Scindia, who won the constituency in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, has traditionally had strong ties to Guna.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, BJP‘s Krishna Pal Singh defeated Jyotiraditya Scindia by a significant margin.
Guna is one of the largest parliamentary seats in Madhya Pradesh, comprising eight assembly segments: Pichhore, Mungaoli, Shivpuri, Bamori, Kolaras, Guna, Chanderi, and Ashoknagar.

This turnout was slightly lower than the last Lok Sabha polls in 2019, which had a turnout of 70.32 per cent.
The constituency went to polls on May 7 during the third phase of the General Elections, recording a voter turnout of 68.93 per cent.
