Delhi Assembly Election Results 2025 Highlights: A key meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership is in progress at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. BJP national president and Union Minister JP Nadda, along with several senior leaders, is attending the discussions.

The meeting follows the party’s historic victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, where it unseated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by winning 48 out of 70 seats. However, the BJP has yet to announce its Chief Ministerial candidate for Delhi.

Speaking on the matter, BJP candidate from the New Delhi Assembly seat, Parvesh Verma, stated on Saturday that the party’s decision on the Chief Ministerial face would be widely accepted. “In our party, the legislative party decides the Chief Ministerial candidate, and then the party leadership approves it. So, the party’s decision will be acceptable to everyone,” Verma said.

AAP’s top leaders, including party chief and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Satyendar Jain, have lost the elections from New Delhi, Jangpura and Greater Kailash constituencies respectively.
