Yogi govt installing panic buttons, CCTVs in city buses, cabs to ensure safety of women

In an attempt to ensure the safety of girls, women and elderly people during their travel, the Yogi government is installing panic buttons along with CCTV cameras in the city buses of the transport department, as well as in Ola and Uber cabs in 17 municipal corporations of the state and Gautam Buddha Nagar under the Safe City Project.

Shahdara: Delhi Police constable shoots himself, police cites ‘family trouble’ 

A constable at Shahdara Police Station allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at around 2:30 am as per Delhi Police. Manjeet was recruited as a constable in Delhi police in the year 2022. He was posted in the reserve battalion located at Mansarovar Park police station.

Delhi air quality plunges into ‘poor’ category with AQI of 245 

The air quality in the national capital on Sunday morning was recorded in the ‘poor’ category with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 245. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research, Safar-India, the AQI near Anand Vihar was recorded at 345 in the ‘very poor’ category, similarly, the AQI at the city’s Burari Crossing area was recorded at 269.
