Alaska Airlines pilots reported pressurization warning lights on three earlier flights of a new Boeing 737 MAX 9 jet that made an emergency landing Friday after a door plug tore off. National Transportation Safety Board chair Jennifer Homendy said the auto pressurization fail light illuminated on Dec. 7, Jan. 3 and Jan. 4 but it is not clear if there is any connection between those incidents and the rapid depressurization incident. Ex-Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel’s father dies
Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s father Nand Kumar Baghel died at a hospital here on Monday morning, a Congress leader said. He was 89. The former CM’s father breathed his last at around 6 am at a private hospital in Raipur, where he was admitted for the last few days, state Congress communication wing head Sushil Anand Shukla said without elaborating on the cause of the death. Bhupesh Baghel will reach Raipur from Delhi in the afternoon, he said. (PTI)
India reports 605 new Covid cases, four deaths
India registered a significant drop in the new coronavirus infections in last 24 hours. A day after recording 756 cases, Monday bulletin shows that India registered 605 fresh Covid-19 cases on Monday. The covid fatality tally stood at four in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 4,002, as per the official data.
