The NDA alliance, comprising TDP, BJP, and Janasena, achieved a huge victory in Andhra, securing 21 parliamentary and 164 assembly seats. The breakdown of Lok Sabha seats saw TDP winning 16, BJP three, and Janasena two, significantly weakening the YSRCP which won just 4 seats. Given that BJP couldn’t secure a majority alone in the Lok Sabha, TDP’s 16 seats are of extreme significance to the NDA. In the Assembly elections, TDP captured 135 out of 175 seats, Janasena secured 21, and BJP eight, while YSRCP only managed to secure 11 seats, as per the Election Commission data. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer accepted Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s resignation on Tuesday. Naidu is expected to take oath as the Andhra CM on June 9.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has achieved a noteworthy feat by winning six assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party has won 2 assembly seats and is currently leading in 19 seats in Andhra Pradesh. In the Rajanagaram constituency, Bathula Balaramakrishna emerged victorious with a total of 105,995 votes, leading by a margin of 34,049 votes. Similarly, in the Narasapuram constituency, Bommidi Narayana Nayakar secured a win with a total of 94,116 votes, leading by a significant margin of 49,738 votes.

BJP‘s candidate P Vishnu Kumar Raju is currently in the lead from Visakhapatnam North Assembly constituency. He has taken a lead of around 12,000 votes.
