Delhi Election 2020 UPDATES: Former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will address a rally in Delhi’s Rajouri Garden on Monday. Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his first political rally in Shahdara, East Delhi. He accused the AAP and Congress of fuelling the protests in parts of the national capital against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. “Be it Seelampur, Jamia or Shaheen Bagh, there have been protests over the past several days regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Are these performances just a coincidence? No, there is a design of politics behind it, which is going to ruin the harmony of the nation,” Prime Minister Modi said.
Taking on Arvind Kejriwal, Prime Minister Modi said that some people had come to change politics but their mask has now come down. “Their true color, form, and motive are revealed. But you will remember when the surgical strike took place, then in this Delhi the army of the country, our brave soldiers were put in the dock,” he added. According to the BJP, PM Modi’s second rally will be held in Dwarka on Tuesday.
Training guns at the opposition, Modi said that these were the people who were protecting those who wanted to tear India apart. “Can the people of Delhi forget this? What was the reason for this? Vote bank politics, appeasement politics,” the PM said. The BJP has put its top guns on the ground to take on Arvind Kejriwal.

PM Modi in Delhi: 'There was a complaint from traders of country, including Delhi, that they face pressure from tax authorities. So we started an Indirect Tax Settlement Scheme last year. After this, there was a demand that such a scheme be started for Direct Taxes. In this budget, we fulfilled this.'

The central government has declared a paid holiday at all government offices in Delhi on February 8, the day the national capital goes to polls.
