Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (October 3) visited poll-bound Chhattisgarh and laid foundation stone of multiple development projects. The prime minister dedicated multiple development and rail projects worth more than Rs 26,000 crore in the state, including the new rail line between Antagarh and Taroki, and NMDC Steel Ltd’s Steel Plant at Nagarnar.
According to Prime Minister’s Office, the prime minister dedicated a new rail line between Antagarh and Taroki. PM Modi also dedicated a rail line doubling project between Jagdalpur and Dantewara and laid foundation stone of the Boridand -Surajpur rail line doubling project.
During his visit, PM Modi also laid foundation stone of redevelopment work of Jagdalpur Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Moreover, he also flaged off the Taroki-Raipur DEMU Train Service. According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, these multiple rail projects are being launched with the vision to improve connectivity in the tribal regions of the state. The improved rail infrastructure and the new train service will benefit the local people and help in the economic development of the region.
In addition to this, he also allocated a road upgradation project from Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh – Jharkhand Border section of National Highway-43.
PM Modi inaugurates infra projects in Telangana
On Tuesday, PM Modi inaugurated projects and laid the foundation stone for new infra schemes worth more than Rs 8,000 crore at Nizamabad in Telangana.
In a bid to boost the economic development and infrastructure of the state, PM Modi dedicated various energy and rail projects.
In pursuit of enhancing power generation while optimizing energy utilization within the country, the inaugural 800 MW Unit of phase 1 at the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project by NTPC was officially dedicated to the nation.
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated significant railway initiatives, encompassing the new railway line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet, as well as the electrification projects spanning Dharmabad to Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar to Kurnool.
The 76-kilometer-long railway line linking Manoharabad to Siddipet promises to stimulate socio-economic growth, particularly within the Medak and Siddipet districts, thereby benefiting the entire region.
The electrification initiatives on the Dharmabad to Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar to Kurnool rail routes are poised to elevate train speeds, ushering in a more environmentally sustainable mode of rail transportation within the area.
Additionally, the Prime Minister launched the Siddipet to Secunderabad train service, providing a substantial advantage to local rail commuters in the region.
