Parag Parikh, former CFO of Adani Total Gas has joined GPS Renewables (GPSR), a renewable energy solutions provider, as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GPSR Arya, the asset platform of GPS Renewables.

Parikh had resigned from Adani Group’s gas distribution company, Adani Total Gas, on September 30 citing intention to pursue external professional opportunities.

Parikh, an industry veteran, brings over 25 years of experience in finance and business leadership across infrastructure sectors such as roads, ports, power, and emerging energy transition areas like compressed biogas (CBG) and electric vehicle (EV) charging.

Before joining GPS Renewables, Parikh was associated with Adani Total Gas for more than six years, where he was instrumental in shaping strategy, overseeing joint ventures, securing international financing, and leading new initiatives in CBG and EV charging infrastructure.

He has also held senior roles at GMR Group and Gammon, managing corporate and project finance, debt and equity raising, restructuring, and investor relations.

Parikh has also been a member of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) CFO Council since January 2025.

GPS Renewables developing $1 billion worth of biogas projects

GPS Renewables is currently developing biogas projects worth nearly $1 billion. It has formed joint ventures with Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Oil India to build compressed biogas (CBG) plants across India.

The company in its press release said that it has a pipeline of over 30 operational or near-complete projects and more than 200 CBG projects under development in collaboration with India’s leading oil marketing companies.

The company is now expanding into bioLNG, green methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). It has built Asia’s largest MSW-based CBG plant in Indore, the world’s fastest-executed CBG plant in Barabanki, and is developing the world’s largest CBG complex in Kakinada.
