Mishra Dhatu Nigam (MIDHANI) has secured a new order worth Rs 306 crore, according to a regulatory filing.

In a filing with the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR), MIDHANI said the fresh order takes its total open order position to around Rs 2,212 crore as on date. MIDHANI has not disclosed the entity who has awarded the project.

MIDHANI’s role in strengthening India’s defence and space sectors

Mishra Dhatu Nigam is a Hyderabad-based defence PSU. It was established by the government of India to achieve self-reliance in the production and supply of superalloys, special steels, and soft magnetic alloys for defence and other strategic sectors, including energy, space, and aeronautical applications.

MIDHANI formed a 50:50 joint venture with National Aluminium Company (NALCO) — Utkarsha Aluminium Dhatu Nigam (UADNL) — to set up a high-end aluminium alloy production plant in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh.
