Public sector defence major Bharat Electronics (BEL) has received an order worth Rs 633 from Cochin Shipyard. In an exchange filing, the company stated that it has received the order to supply items required for various sensors, weapon equipment, fire control systems and communication equipment supplied by the company.

Earlier, the company had received major orders worth Rs 592 crore in the first 15 days of October. BEL stated that these included tank subsystems and overhauling, communication equipment, combat management systems, ship data networks, train collision avoidance systems, laser dazzlers, jammers, upgrades, spares, and services.

Earlier last month, the Indian Army issued a tender to Bharat Electronics for the QRSAM project, also known as Anant Shastra, worth Rs 30,000 crore. The Indian Army will procure 5-6 regiments of the indigenously developed ‘Anant Shastra’ surface-to-air missile weapon systems, and BEL  will be the lead integrator. 

Motilal Oswal states that, along with this order, BEL will benefit from orders for next-generation corvettes, electronics warfare, follow-on orders for electronics for 97 Tejas Mk1A, loitering munition programs, and export opportunities. 

BEL Q2 FY26 result

Bharat Electronics said in an exchange filing that it will release its financial results for Q2 FY26 on October 31. Last quarter, the company reported a 22.47 per cent year-on-year rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 969.05 crore. Its consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 4,439.74 crore, up 4.62 per cent YoY.
