ZEE5 clocks a 2X surge in viewership on its Bengali slate since December 2022. As per the company, it has significantly invested in Bengali content bringing hits such as ‘Abar Proloy’, ‘Shabash Feluda’, ‘Swetkali’, ‘Shikarpur’, among others, in line with the brand’s commitment towards regional expansion.
Since December 2022, the platform has clocked a 22% increase in the monthly active viewers in the eastern region.

Moreover, the latest original directed by Raj Chalkraborty featuring Saswata Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, ‘Abar Proloy’, saw an 86% surge in viewership and 3X more watch time than any other Bengali original title. The watch time for the same stood at 146 MN minutes.
The platform’s growth in Bengali content viewership can be attributed to their partnerships with top-tier industry talents who have been instrumental in bringing captivating stories. Additionally, ZEE5 has also released a high-octane slate of 10 blockbuster titles starting from January 2023.
