Why the campaign rocks:
There is smart marketing, and then there is great marketing. Little Tikes’ Little Green Flag scheme definitely falls under the latter. They seamlessly blended childhood nostalgia and sustainability while executing the campaign beautifully. The Cozy Coupe toy, which used to be kids’ favourite, found a new way to spread happiness under the scheme, and what specifically caught my eye was how they reimagined the lifecycle of the beloved toy.
Rather than letting these iconic red and yellow cars end up in a junkyard, Little Tikes invited the families to repurpose them with a more meaningful and innovative approach. They partnered with a roadside assistance company, Green Flag, for rescuing the outgrown toy cars to recycle them and the Toy Project for gifting the new models. Green Flag decided to treat these cars just like any other vehicle and get them towed. Imagine how thrilled the kids must’ve been!
One thing that made this campaign remarkable was that it served everyone. The parents found a purposeful way to pass on the outgrown cars, kids learnt some valuable life lessons while new families could give their children another reason to smile. What’s not to love about this one?
