Nestle India, the major FMCG company, announced a leadership change on Monday with the appointment of Manish Tiwary as the new Managing Director. Tiwary will succeed the incumbent, Suresh Narayanan, who is set to retire on July 31, 2025, after serving 26 years in the role.
Tiwary, currently the country manager at Amazon India, will officially take over on August 1, 2025, pending necessary approvals, as noted in a regulatory filing. He will step down from his directorship at Amazon Digital Services and More Consumer Brand on October 30, 2024.
With nearly three decades of experience in the e-commerce and consumer goods sectors, Tiwary has a strong background in leading large-scale operations and strategic initiatives. An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, he joined Amazon in 2016 following a 20-year career at Unilever, the Anglo-Dutch FMCG giant. The nominations for his appointment were received from Nestle SA, the Swiss parent firm.
