Match highlights are favored by 51% of respondents, emphasising the importance of accessible content that captures key moments of the game.
Furthermore, 62% of fans actively participate in online discussions or debates, reflecting the social aspect of IPL viewership. Additionally, 38% of fans follow all official IPL accounts, demonstrating their trust in authoritative sources for updates and insights.
Social media, particularly Instagram, is considered ‘very influential’ by 66% of fans in shaping opinions about teams and players. This underscores the platform’s role in building player brands and influencing fan loyalty.
Moreover, 41% of fans are willing to share IPL-related content, highlighting the communal nature of sports fandom in the digital age. Fans not only consume content but also contribute to its dissemination, making them active participants in the IPL narrative.
