GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, announces the consolidation of its content, sports, and entertainment offerings into GroupM Content and Sport. The move aims to provide GroupM clients with access to premium content opportunities in the Indian market, enhancing brand engagement through culturally relevant initiatives.

Vinit Karnik has been appointed as managing director of Content, Entertainment, and Sports for GroupM India, aiming to lead a unified strategy leveraging GroupM’s scale, expertise, and technology. The company states that Ajay Mehta and Subhamoy Das will support Karnik in this endeavour, overseeing specific verticals within the combined offering. Reportedly, this decision is part of GroupM’s ongoing business transformation to provide more integrated solutions for clients. The unified offer will provide GroupM clients with exclusive access to scaled and compelling premium content opportunities, enabling marketers to enhance brand engagement through consumer-centric initiatives.
