On the occasion of Independence Day, Croma released its video campaign on YouTube. From what is understood, the campaign is a film series with four episodes under the title – Past Tech Present. According to the company, the video is about vintage electronics that have become a part of history as we are surrounded by cutting edge electronics today. 

The films showcase four individuals from different parts of India, each dedicated to preserving vintage electronics. Episode 1 highlights Mahboob Radio in Hyderabad, a historic radio service center from 1928, run by Mohammad Mooinuddin Saheb. Episode 2 introduces Shaik Mehmood, a vintage watch restorer in Bengaluru, known for his work with sentimental timepieces. Episode 3 features Munna’s vinyl record store in Kolkata, a long-standing hub for analogue sound enthusiasts. The final episode focuses on Ravi Kapoor’s photography studio in Lucknow, which houses over a thousand cameras, reflecting the evolution of photography.
