After the mishap at the Delhi airport’s Terminal 1, over 20 flights were cancelled today, June 29. As per the sources, about  23 flights of IndiGo and 2 flights of SpiceJet were to operate from T1, but were eventually cancelled.

Earlier, the terminal was shut down after an incident of roof collapse which claimed the live of one person.

While IndiGo made no comment on the matter, a SpiceJet source told PTI that the airline has shifted all its operations to T3 and all of its flights were operated today.

Delhi airport roof collapse

After the roof collapse incident, operations at Terminal 1 (T1) were suspended on Friday. Flights originally scheduled to depart from T1 have been relocated to Terminal 2 (T2) and Terminal 3 (T3). Delhi airport operator DIAL announced the formation of a technical committee to investigate the incident at T1, attributing the primary cause to ongoing heavy rainfall.
