Air India announced it will operate its scheduled evening flight from Delhi to Dhaka on Tuesday, while Vistara will resume its services to the Bangladeshi capital starting August 7. The situation in Bangladesh remains unstable following street protests over job quotas, which led to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation and subsequent departure.

Air India had earlier canceled its morning flight to Dhaka due to the unrest. The airline will now run its evening flights AI237/238 on the Delhi-Dhaka-Delhi route.

Additionally, Air India is offering a one-time waiver for rescheduling flights to and from Dhaka for passengers with confirmed bookings between August 4 and 7. This waiver applies to tickets purchased on or before August 5.

Air India typically operates two daily flights from Delhi to Dhaka. Meanwhile, Vistara will resume its services as scheduled from Wednesday. The airline operates daily flights from Mumbai and three weekly flights from Delhi to Dhaka.

Both Vistara and IndiGo canceled their flights to Dhaka on Tuesday. IndiGo, which usually operates one daily flight from Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai to Dhaka, as well as two daily flights from Kolkata, has yet to update its schedule for Wednesday.
