For instance, the announcement of a new scheme to be launched for strengthening deep-tech technologies for defence purposes and expediting ‘aatmanirbharta’. Plus, the move to create a corpus of rupees one lakh crore will be established with a fifty-year interest free loan. The corpus is to provide long-term financing or refinancing with long tenors and low or nil interest rates. It is to encourage the private sector to scale up research and innovation significantly in sunrise domains. He also sees the budget staying focussed on fiscal prudence and setting goals for fiscal deficit accordingly.
