Wait, and read on. Attending a track day media ride is always exciting, and when TVS says you’re invited to CoASTT, you know there’s something special. We had a go at the new TVS Apache RTR 310, which has seen subtle updates, a price drop, a new top variant, new electronic aids, and a tweaked engine map.
On first glance, everything looks the same and one wonders, what has TVS done to call it an update? What are the updates? What’s new on the bike?
2025 TVS RTR 310 first ride review: What’s new with the update?

What’s new on the motorcycle is a slightly tough answer to justify. The 2025 RTR 310 carries forward the same design with an angular headlight and muscular tank. It retains its big-bike look just as before, and the ergonomics as well. To a general person, the bike looks exactly identical, apart from new colour options.

However, look a bit closer and you will find lever guards, sequential blinkers, a transparent clutch case, and that’s all. While these may look like accessories from the aftermarket catalogue of TVS, they add to the design to give the bike an updated look.
2025 TVS RTR 310 first ride review: Ride and handling

Swing a leg over and it’s very familiar again — the ergonomics are identical to the older motorcycle, and there’s plenty of room in the seat to move around while the legs have a comfortable bend to the pegs. What does catch you off guard is the weight — 169kg — and how light it feels compared to how it looks.

The switchgear is the same, and the electric starter now gets an assist, which basically means you push the button once and the motorcycle cranks itself instead of having to hold it down. The adjustable levers are the same, and the reach to the handlebars is familiar.
2025 RTR 310 | Specifications |
Engine | 312.12 cc, liquid-cooled, single |
Power | 35.08 bhp |
Torque | 28.7 Nm |
Gearbox | 6-Speed |
With all that out of the way, the fun starts when the motorcycle gets rolling. It’s quick and eager; however, it has a tweaked engine map that has made it calmer than the previous model. The power delivery is linear, but retains its character of being very energetic, and when riding in the streets, we saw it hit the rev limiter even before realising.
Our ride in real-world conditions was very limited, and the next phase of the ride left us hearing for more — the track experience. The RTR 310 is sharp, and leans in and flicks around like it was telepathically connected. The motorcycle felt like it was lacking power despite nearing 150kmph on the clock.

Lacking power was owing to two reasons: first is the track, which is a high-speed track with wide corners that make even the 390 Duke feel slow. The next reason is its handling, which is so good that one would want all the power in the world. The Michelin tyres do a fantastic job of offering a ton of confidence.
2025 TVS RTR 310 first ride review: Should you get it?

In one word, yes! The motorcycle looks great, handles like it’s on rails, and the updated electronics with launch control and a host of other goodies — including the brilliant quickshifter — make this a great package. Yes, it comes with a certain cost and for someone stepping up to the RTR 310 from a smaller motorcycle, there will be many years of learning and fun waiting.
Variant | Price |
Base | Rs 2.39 lakh |
Top | Rs 2.57 lakh |
BTO 1 | Rs 2.75 lakh |
BTO 2 | Rs 2.85 lakh |
So why do we say ‘no surprises’? Well, that’s because TVS knows how to build a brilliant motorcycle, and the updated RTR 310, despite being expensive, justifies its price once ridden. Overall, I will say this is one of the best (if not the best) handling motorcycles in its class.
