Aston Martin launched its flagship grand tourer, the DB12 last year, priced at Rs 4.59 crore, ex-showroom. While not as popular as a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, Aston Martin has a unique set of customers, and it turns out that the CEO of Zomato, Deepinder Goyal is one of them.
The food delivery app CEO has taken delivery of the new Aston Martin DB12, which is the first in India. Goyal’s DB12 is finished in a Satin Aston Martin Racing Green colour. That said, let’s take a closer look at the Aston Martin DB12 itself.
Deepinder Goyal’s Aston Martin and car collection
The Aston Martin DB12 is the latest flagship for the carmaker and compared to the DB11, the carmaker claims that 80 percent of the car is new. It retains the iconic silhouette and features an updated grille, making it stand out from its predecessor.
The interior of the car is also new, as it gets a central touchscreen infotainment system, new dash, new buttons, and more, giving the car a fresh look and premium feel compared to the DB11. Powering the car is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 570bhp and 800Nm of torque. An 8-speed gearbox sends power to the rear wheels which help the car accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.5 seconds.
The new Aston Martin DB12 is not Goyal’s first exotic car, as his garage includes a Porsche 911 Turbo S, a Ferrari Roma, and a Lamborghini Urus, an SUV that has become popular amongst celebrities and car enthusiasts around the world and India.
