
Besides design changes, the new A-Class also gets a new elabaite green colour
Mercedes-Benz India has been on launching spree of late with the latest one being the A-Class facelift that was launched today in the country. The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class is available in two variants – A180 petrol and A200d priced at Rs 24.95 lakh and 25.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) respectively. With features such as new bumpers, updated headlamps, revised grille, different graphics for lighting clusters and few others, the 2016 Mercedes A-Class is a mid-life facelift of the luxury hatchback. Besides aforementioned design changes, the new A-Class also gets a new elabaite green colour.
The new Mercedes A-Class has also received significant interior changes with features such as a new infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink, optional 8-inch display, updated instrument cluster, new control buttons and upmarket material, new steering wheel with shift paddles, etc.
Powering the 2016 Mercedes A-Class A180 petrol is a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder turbo engine that is good for 120bhp and 200Nm. The A200D diesel variant, on the other hand, features a 2.1-litre, four-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power output of 136bhp and a peak torque of 300Nm. Just so you know, the updated A-Class has also received a new nomenclature for the diesel variant. Instead of 200 CDI, the new model is called A 200D.
