How to correct address information on RC card

The address details on a vehicle RC can be done online or offline, however, before changing the address on the RC, there are a few documents needed and they are as follows:

  • Form 33
  • Proof of new address
  • Registration certificate
  • PUC certificate
  • Valid insurance
  • NOC issued by the financier (if the vehicle has a loan)
  • PAN card’s attested copy or Form 60 and Form 61
  • Smart card fee receipt
  • Chassis and engine number pencil impression
  • Owner’s signature identification

Changing address on RC online

To change the address on the RC online, one should visit the Parivahaan website first and login. If you do not have an account, register. Once logged in, go to online services and select vehicle-related services. Next, select the state and RTO, followed by the vehicle’s registration number and the last five digits of the chassis number.

Now, you will be prompted to enter an OTP sent to the registered mobile number and once that’s complete, select change address on RC. Next, fill in the required details and upload relevant documents, then book an appointment by entering your application number and choosing a slot. The last step involves paying the necessary fees.

Once the above steps are complete, visit the RTO on the day of the appointment with all the necessary documents. An officer will verify the details and proceed with the change of address as requested.

Changing address on RC offline

To change the address on the RC offline, one must visit the RTO, fill out form 33, and submit it at the RTO along with the supporting documents. Once the fee is paid, officials will begin the process of changing the address on the RC.
