The automatic climate control and the Digipad infotainment system are offered only on the top VX variants, however, the lower S version comes only with a 8.9 cm integrated audio system and manual air conditioning controls. All versions are offered in an all-black theme for the dashboard and door panels. Lower variants are offered with a Black and Blue colour option while the top end trim comes with an all-black seating with silver inserts.
Powering the Honda WR-V are two engine options, a 1.2 litre petrol unit and a 1.5 litre diesel motor. These engine options are similar to the ones powering the current generation Honda Jazz. The petrol engine generates 88 hp of power at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. The diesel engine produces 99 hp of power at 3,600 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm.
Transmission is carried by a 5 speed manual gearbox in the Honda WR-V petrol while the diesel engine option gets a 6 speed manual transmission. There is no option of an automatic transmission, even for the petrol engine as most cars offered in this segment have manual gearboxes. The transmission along with the engine has been tuned for the best balance between fuel efficiency and performance.
Braking duties are done by disc brakes upfront and drum brakes at the rear. In addition, all variants are offered with ABS (Anti lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and dual front airbags as a standard fitment. The Honda WR-V also gets ISOFIX mounts for child seats as standard.
Claimed mileage of the Honda WR-V powered by the 1.2 litre petrol engine option is 17.50 kmpl. The diesel motor has a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.5 kmpl. Considering its segment, these mileage figures are appreciable.
