TVS Motor Company has been named the official supplier of race-tuned motorcycles for the 2025 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC). The company will provide its advanced TVS Apache GP200R machines for the newly introduced Pro Stock 200 class, becoming the first Indian two-wheeler manufacturer to undertake such a role.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in the democratization of motorsports in India, allowing independent teams to access high-performance race machines and compete at a national level. The INMRC 2025, set to begin on June 6 at the Madras International Circuit (MIC), Chennai, features the debut of the Pro Stock 200 class.
Seven teams and twelve racers have been selected following a rigorous evaluation, and TVS Racing will provide comprehensive technical support throughout the season. With over four decades of racing experience and a celebrated two-decade legacy of the TVS Apache series, the company aims to elevate the standard of competition and expand accessibility within the sport.

At the heart of this advancement is the race-tuned TVS Apache GP200R, a machine specifically engineered for competitive racing. Featuring a 200cc engine, the motorcycle is 105 kg in weight and delivers a 40% power increase over the stock version, achieving top speeds of over 155 kmph. Key performance enhancements include a modified cylinder head, high-lift camshaft, advanced ECU with closed-loop control, and integrated data-logging capabilities.
To further optimize racing performance, the Apache GP200R boasts aerodynamic bodywork, adjustable suspension, a lightweight aluminum subframe, and upgraded braking systems. These innovations are aligned with TVS Racing’s “Track to Road” philosophy, where insights from the racetrack are translated into engineering excellence for everyday riders.
In addition to the race-tuned Apache GP200R, the Petronas TVS Racing team will provide complete technical support and machine service and maintenance to ensure peak performance throughout the season.
