The 10th stage of the 2024 Dakar Rally saw an impressive performance by Harith Noah, the only Indian in the Dakar this year, finishing the stage in the fifth position, way ahead of the defending champion, Kevin Benavides. Honda, however, took the 1-2-3 stage victory, while Guerlain Chicherit took the win in the cars category.
The 371km special was a mix of sand, rocks, and nasty jumps, as Toyota’s Seth Quintero found out the hard way after a small leap that damaged his suspension. Being a good samaritan, he jumped out of his Hilux to warn other drivers — good one mate! That wasn’t all, as the stage saw overall leaders such as Sainz and Loeb suffer multiple punctures.
Back to the motorcycle category, the podium was taken by Brabec, Nacho Cornejo, and Van Beveren, followed by GasGas rider Daniel Sanders in fourth and Harith Noah in fifth, giving the Indian a second stage victory this Dakar, marking another historical moment for the country.

In the overall standings, Honda’s Ricky Brabec still leads, followed by Roass Branch, who lost more time in this stage. However, the difference between the two is a little over 10 minutes and with two more stages to go, the difference can change drastically.
Over to the cars, the stage victory went to Chicherit, followed by Century Racing’s Brian Baragwanath in second and Benediktas Vanagas in third. Although Sainz suffered three punctures, with the help of teammate Ekstrom, El Matador was able to resume, finishing the stage in 25th. In the overall rankings, Sainz leads Loeb by 13 minutes.
