Welcome to the home race for LCR’s Johan Zarco and Fabio Quartararo of Yamaha as the French Resistance look forward to a podium finish, if not win the grand prix at Le Mans. This could be a pivotal moment for Quartararo as the updated engine will make its official track debut. In the last race, Quartararo showcased some of his vintage form as he came second in the Spanish Grand Prix. The riders to beat are the Ducati trinity — Marc and Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia.
Going into the sixth race of the season, the battle is heating up for who to secure their place as the championship leader. With twist of fate, Marc Marquez crashed at the Jerez race and handed brother Alex his first MotoGP victory. This was Marquez’s second crash his season, first at Texas. Marc’s rivals know better than to celebrate his recent crash as he simply picked up the bike at the Spain GP, and even with a damaged motorcycle, his time was faster than his teammate Bagnaia. This will definitely send shiver down the other riders’ spines.
Leading the way in the current championship, Alex Marquez, who is a point ahead of Ducati’s Marc Marquez. Bagnaia is lagging behind third with a deficit of 20 points. Only top three riders have scored over 100 points .
French MotoGP: When, where and how to watch it?
MotoGP fans in India can only watch the races on FanCode, which has the exclusive rights. The company has a contract from 2025 to 2027. Fanode is available on the website and can be streamed live by downloading the app from Google Play for Android devices or the App Store for Apple devices.
MotoGP races can also be watched on Eurosport television channel. Last year, Eurosport India reached a 3-year agreement to exclusively air MotoGP in India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Maldives till 2026.
