With this, the Yamaha Aerox 155 now becomes the most powerful scooter currently on sale in India as it offers 15 hp and uses the R15 V4 derived engine. The Yamaha Aerox 155 comes with 14-inch wheels at the front and rear, which are certainly bigger than any conventional scooter in India. With this wheel size, the maxi-scooter should offer decent stability, especially at higher speeds. This statement is further cemented by the fact that the Aerox 155 gets a chunky 140-section tyre at the rear. Single-channel ABS comes as standard on the scooter.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 gets a 5.8-inch LCD fully digital instrument cluster that shows information in plenty. You can also connect your smartphone to the scooter through the Bluetooth-enabled Yamaha Motorcycle Connect App. Once done, you can keep track of vehicle statistics, see phone notifications, last parked location and much more.

The Aerox 155 gets an all-LED headlamp upfront and the sleek-looking dual section set up should offer a good illumination in the dark. However, we are yet to confirm it as we haven’t ridden the scooter yet.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 gets a multi-function switch near the ignition switch that lets you open the fuel tank and the under seat storage of the scooter with just one press. But this is not clearly a segment-first feature as some of the scooters in India have been offering this kind of functionality.

In order to offer better convenience to the riders, the fuel refill option on the Yamaha Aerox 155 gets an an external lid. This not only enhances the safety factor but also makes the fuel refilling process hassle-free and easy. Compared to some conventional scooters in which the front fuel lid is located on the left side, the one on this one is at the center just south of the handlebar. The scooter gets a 5.5-litre fuel tank.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 gets a generous underseat storage capacity of 24.5 litres. The company claims that this is enough to accomodate one full-face helmet along with some other bits. That said, this is the biggest underseat storage on offer among all petrol scooters currently on sale in India.
